Empress Marine supplied the environmental monitoring vessel, Indonesian fishing liaison vessel and scout chase vessel for the Maxima 3D seismic survey, which was carried out by CGG Veritas inside South Scott Reef for Woodside.

Before seismic acquisition could take place, environmental compliance had to be established. Marine life from around the Scott Reef area was collected and the effects of trial seismic shots on behaviour monitored.

Empress Marine vessels carried out subsequent marine fauna observations throughout the period of seismic acquisition. In addition, they also provided liaison with traditional Indonesian fishermen,ensuring that no interactions took place with seismic vessel movements, and acted as scout/chase vessel in shallow waters and inpreventing interactions with other vessels.
