Empress Marine was involved in a number of associated activities for this major resource development.
Black Jack was the environmental survey vessel operating for Dredging International. Her role was to monitor and record the dredging plume and water quality throughout the dredging operations, carrying out regular checks on metocean water quality monitoring equipment. She also undertook multibeam survey and dive support.
Prowler carried out crew transfer throughout the project, transferring personnel constructing the load-out wharf to barges and construction vessels.
Empress Marine also partnered Intervention Engineering in providing ROV support to the project. By enabling underwater inspections and environmental surveillance to take place remotely during construction, many of the risks associated with traditional diving operations were eliminated.
